Sinan has followed private lessons Sinasi Cilden, during the years he was completing his bachelors degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department, METU, in Ankara. After his graduation he moved to the Netherlands to study cello with Jan-Ype Nota and Michel Strauss at the Prince Claus Conservatoire. Following his bachelors degree he continued with master’s study with Jeroen Reuling in Zwolle and Peter Bruns in Berlin, receiving his mater’s degree in July 2012.
During his studies he had lessons also with many well known cellists including: Gary Hoffman, Richard Aaron, Marcio Carneiro, Peter Bruns, Gavriel Lipkind, Godfried Hoogeveen and others during summer academies and masterclasses.
Next to being a member of the NoordpoolOrkest he has been working as a free-lance musician with various orchestras and chamber music ensembles in the Netherlands, including NoordNederlandsOrkest, Orkest van het Oosten, NederlandseReisOpera, Ardesko,… He played in all major halls in the Netherlands such as the Concertgebouw, Carré, de Doelen, Luxor, Koninklijke Schouwburg,… in chamber music and/or orchestral formations; and he also performed live on Radio4.
Besides playing activities, he also works as a cello teacher in his own practice and as replacing teacher in the Music School Groningen, Vrijdag.
